The 'Fertility-Optimising' Window

Chances are your eggs WON’T be great if you haven’t taken advantage of the ‘Fertility-Optimising’ window.

We have been told that egg health is fixed and you can’t change their viability and DNA. Recent research tells us that this is just not the case. No amount of detoxing, dietary modification and de-stressing will change your mature gametes (sex cells) - not so for those immature eggs. During the 120-ish-day window when your egg is undergoing the final maturation process, there is much you can do to improve your fertility success. It is all about providing an optimum environment for the egg, nutrient-rich and free from environmental toxins and pathogens while being rich in antioxidants protecting the metabolically active eggs. Benefits include the production of cellular energy necessary to drive the biological processes involved in egg maturation and support for the genetic and hormonal environment of the ovaries. It takes 45-60 days from the initial recruitment to the secondary follicle stage and another 45-60 days until a single egg from the same cohort reaches ovulation.

The same opportunity is available for sperm which men produce from scratch every 74 days.

‘Making Babies’ Preconception Care program has been successfully doing just that for the past decade.

In the past, I have wondered why I have had such success with helping couples make babies. I have always applied the same protocol as I do when working with clients regardless of their health issues.

  •       Balance the microbiome (that zoo that resides mostly within our bowel) to remove heavy metals and environmental toxins (these troublesome elements keep company with the pathogenic flora of the microbiome). Heavy metals block the uptake of nutrients. Once the body can access nutrients it is back in the business of making hormones, neurotransmitters and detoxing effectively.
